Diesel prices according to Wall Street Journal

New item: Cummins & Biodiesel

I bought fuel at Flying J (Troutdale, Oregon) yesterday for $2. 05 and 15 miles away in Washington where I live it's $2. 63 (Shell)... . Do any of you guys have such a huge difference??????

Big difference here also, on I-40 at the Love's Truck Stop in Jo City ($2. 05), even at a little station in town it was ($2. 13). In Snowflake where I live,about 50 miles south, the cheapest is Conoco @ $2. 39, the Chevron is $2. 49. Talk about legal theft!!

The Chevron I go to all the time, (@ San Fernando Rd. and I-14) the price is now $2. 29, most of the other stations in town have a price of $2. 69+++. I do know that the Chevron station I go to is a very high volume dealer. When this station had a high of $2. 72 all of the others in town were +++$3. 10. I am glad my truck has a 35 gallon tank.

I do know that as a dealers volume goes up the price to them goes down. At least with Chevron stations and some Texaco stations that is the norm.

:rolleyes: Nice to know that legalized THUGGERY by big oil is every where. :rolleyes: I was begining to think it was just me and my paranoia with the cost of living :rolleyes:

Flying J in Fife (Tacoma area) was $2. 119 the other day and 10 or 12 miles north, by my place one station is keeping theirs at $2. 729 ... . They can keep it all at that rate as far as I am concerned. :-{}

here in Sacramento, prices are all over the place, the independant I buy from is $2. 27, right across the street, the Valero is 2. 59, and 45 miles west of here and 45 miles closer to the refineries in Martinez and Benicia (17 miles from Fairfield), the prices at Shell and Chevron ( who both have refineries here) are at 2. 89 and 2. 99 :eek: :eek: :eek:

It pays to keep your eyes open, I commute 160 miles a day round trip between Sacramento and Yountville and have learned where the best prices are, and they are usually here in Sac.

Whenever I take a roadtrip, I check to see if there is a FlyingJ or Loves on my route to take advantage of their pricing.

I buy all of my diesel at flying J troutdale,OR.

Got to love them truck pumps. :D 4 minutes and filled.

They are the cheapest diesel in a two state area.

Also, I never have to worry about bad fuel because if I get bad fuel so will a lot of truckers and that would be very expensive fix for flying J.

Besides, I laugh at the ford and chev guys that have to use the sloooowwwww pumps.

1. 93? OK. seems to always be cheaper than Missouri on fuel. I paid 1. 97 at wally world yesterday. It's 1. 94 if you use a gift card or a walmart credit card.

Sheesh---here in poulsbo we have a shell station at 2. 38 and literally across the street is a texaco( I think )at 2. 79!!! The shell changes almost daily while the other seems stuck for weeks now.
