Which RV Tires... ST or LT ??

Greetings gents, well I just purchased my first RV, an 04 Wildcat 28RK :) . The unit weighs in at 11400 GVWR and 7500 dry. My pull weight will probably be around 9500 lbs...

OK, I now need to know what mods my truck could use to make the towing experience more enjoyable, and help with drivetrain longevity... Any transmission, cooling, or other stuff I should be installing ???

Thanks John...

Got it at Bradford RV in Raynam MA... I was originally looking at large truck campers, but space was just not there for our needs... Been all over the state of MA looking at campers...

John,

I would go to an edge attitude box, and leave it at that, unless you are looking to totally change the truck, I am sure you will find the changes will make a signifigant difference in you towing ability. Just make sure you are on good terms with you Tech at you dodge store.

John, I know you guys back east really don't have BIG mountains... I did not see an exhaust brake on your sig.

Bill

I would add an exhaust brake if you have a manual transmission. If it an automatic to effectively use an exhaust brake you would have to modify your transmission so you can control when the transmission unloads. I use DTT modifications and I am very satisfied.

Did truck come with tow pac ,have tow mirriors , straight stick or auto , (exhaust brake) If tow pac extra cooling is there ,if not easy to add ,LOL Ron Bissett in Metro Louisville KY. Or Tampa Fla.

Rosco's right. You'll be fine. More power and the transmission won't like it. You said "transmission pan" so that means an auto. You don't want to screw that up.

Hey guys, I have the 48RE automatic, and I am running a TS Performance Ramifier box. I am more than satisfied with the Ramifier... When the transmission goes, I will certainly get a DTT... I do have to be carefull with the Ramifier, as when I am really in it, the TC will begin to chatter... I did order the MFO (manual fan override) kit from a vendor on this site... Any there any other suspension mods like sway bars, shocks ? Or transmission mods I should consider ?

Turbo Tom.

How do you like the Kelderman air ride and the U. S Gear overdrive? I have been looking at putting air under my truck and have looked at both Kelderman and Primary air. I am leaning toward Primary air due to it being half what Kelderman costs. Also currently trying find better gearing for easier pulling. I see you have a Teton, they build a great unit. Thanks for the info.
