Competition thinkin about pullin nexted weekend

A local pull is comin up and i am catchin crap from all directions, I gotta make it successful to shut the furd and chebby boys up round here. I am running a 02 2500 with 6 speed, I will have my EEP dual disk in by then, I am running DDII injectors but have some stage 5 edge jammer injectors layin around waiting for install, but i am worried with the stock charger i don't have enough air, I have 315 tires, I need all the help i can get here guys, i can't take much more of this my chevy/ford has more power than 3 cummins trucks together, I am callin on a favor please..... help me out. and anyone who wants to come down and run, let me know i would be happy to give directions.

Kevin

I'd throw in the stage 5's. Get that beast up around 400hp and she'll do quite well. The Duramax boys may still give you a hard time, but the Ford guys... . don't worry.

yeh, good point, but it never stopped me from breaking parts or getting in trouble :-laf

Yeah i wouldnt worry about them flower pokers, but the D-max guys will give some good comp! My buddy has an 04 with an intake, programer and straight pipe and he is turnin alot of heads around here pullin!

Send your comp box back to edge and get the "drag" version. just $125 and you can pay extra for next day air they'll have it back to you within 4 days! Makes a big difference in pulling - I've seen a regular comp and a drag comp run back to back on the same truck in a test and tune and the drag comp got extra 25ft. !!

where are you pulling

Where you pulling? We were just in Marlinton saturday, right in your neck of the woods pulling at the hillsboro fire dept pull. Let us know, maybe theres a few of us that could make it down your direction for your pull, be glad to help you out. what are the rules and classes?

Nathan

Nate, wish i had known you were there i would have tried to make it down, I had to work till 6 that day otherwise i was planning on enterin.

The pull is the one at the Monterey Fair in monterey VA, september 2nd, I would love to see some dodge trucks there that know what pullin is about. duramax stole the show last year so i think it is fair enough it is the cummins boys turn now.

Keep in touch guys, Lets make this one interesting.

Kevin

the rules seem simple enough, if it is under 8000 it is one class and if it is over 8000 it is a different class, I think that it is pretty much run what you brought, if it has tags and inspection it is fully legal to pull. I will look more into it but that is what i remember from last year

Kevin

The pull your talking about must be the same one everyone was talking about Saturday. They said Va somewhere but I wasnt really paying alot of attention. Mapquest says its 120 mi from me which isnt bad and it looks like there aren't any other pulls that day. So if were not broke we could make it down. You are coming up to Reedsville, right ???? Hope to see you there.

As for pulling yourself, get those injectors in since you have them, install the EEP clutch, if cashflow and time allow get a turbo and drag comp upgrade. Dont look at the pyro, and be easy on the turbo at the end of your pull. also leave the wastegate operational, or semi operational (not completely blocked off). Also add weight if you can, best if its hanging, if not get it in the front of the bed and secured, because it makes a world of difference. If ya need a few tips or tricks, give me a call or a pm, maybe we can hit a pull up thats local for both of us some time and see what youv'e got to work with, and get you a lil practice and some pointers. Note: Im not Gene Mahoney ( aka sledpuller ) but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. :-laf

Nate, I have plans to make it up to Reedsville. Hopefully work won't interfere. I will get the injectors pop tested and in soon, i have an appointment with ADT on the 11th to get the clutch installed and an oil pan installed that wasn't replaced when I wrecked my truck back in april. I will definately have to catch up with ya sometime so we can see what i need and what i have to work with. I am workin a lot lately to try and keep my funds up for mods and repairs, unfortunately the payment on the truck itself takes a lot of my mod cash fund away.
