ok has anybody installed the autometer 2888 tach?

i found the fomula i needed to calibrate but the pick up that goes on the alt. it says to center on the laminations on the alternator but these alternators don't have laminations . also what is the overdrive ratio on the 92 dodge 518 trans. geared 3. 54
