Did I miss something?

Christmas Lights Show

Ok I tend to get bored alot during the day and I come on here, and sometimes nothing has changed or nothing that is relevant to me posting to. So I thought of something that we can all post on that will be kinda fun as well. Why dont we play "Name that tune", of course we cant hear anything on here, but we can type a line from the song and then whoever correctly identifies it, posts a new line or verse or whatever from another song?

If you guys wanna do it, then I will start, I'll make it easy to start.

"If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me"

ok I'm game, bored outa my skull.

Free Bird, Skynyrd

I'll start with an easy one.

"Son don't you know your gonna drive me to drinkin'... "

"if you don't stop driving that Hot Rod Lincoln".

Don't know the original artist, but Asleep at the Wheel did a cover. My dad used to listen to that on the "oldies" station on sunday nights. Wow, I just dated myself. LOL

Charlie Ryan recorded 'Hot Rod Lincoln' in 1955, the version I know was done by Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen in 1972.

Does that mean I "dated" myself too ?? :)

Smoke was a rolling out of the back when I started to gain on that Cadillac.....

Don't feel old guys, I know that one and I'm a child of the early 80's :)

take this job and shove it.

This next one might be hard, but its been done by several generations I think.

Old and in the way, that's what I heard them say

Is that the Grateful Dead?

Close, its one of the few bands that had both rednecks and hippies in it.

Jerry Garcia banjo, David Grisman Mandolin, Peter Rowen Guitar, John Kahn acoustic bass and Vassar Clements Fiddle.

Legend has it they all meet at Sunset park in Jennersville PA (couple miles down the road from where I live) in the late 60's and started playing together. They recorded several songs, then put together a record after they broke up. This record exposed more people to bluegrass then any other record I think (all the dead heads bought it because Jerry was on it)

Your turn.

One Scotch, One Bourbon, One Beer... ... ... . George Thourogood and the Destroyers

Ok heres one. Its an older one, but the younger guys should know it as well

My motto's always been, "When it's right, it's right"

Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night?

Hold my breath as i wish for death

Oh please god,wake me

Now the world is gone i'm just one

Oh god, help me hold my breath as i wish for death

Oh please god help me

Not sure I heard those last 2 :(

This one is for those TDR guys from up north

Dreamed I was an Eskimo

Frozen wind began to blow

Under my boots and around my toes

The frost that bit the ground below

It was a hundred degrees below zero...
