Ok - a buddy of mine told me about these toilets - Man after kust two weeks - I'll never have anything else - they're the greatest since sliced bread... http://www.totousa.com/toto/default.asp

Honestly any other is - well like owning a Ford! And in case you take teh time - they really do have a unique porcelin that requires NO - NO scrubbing - and leaves no mess - these REALLY work.

I purchased the Carrollton Two Piece Toilet, 1.6 GPF

http://www.totousa.com/toto/productpage.asp?PID=494 - Love it - and cleaning the outside looks like a snap - as everything is smooth. I know this sounds goofy - but this is like Al Bundy's Toilet ( a Ferguson ("the king of bowls", "the Stradivari of toilets"). I can't recommend the Toto enough - they're great - comfortable beyond belief and wow - does she flush. They are big and the setup is different than anything you've seen before.

(Go to http://www.totousa.com/toto/innerbeauty.asp to see what I mean about how she fits on the rough opening). I picked mine up at George Morlan's annual sale last weekend - it cost me around $450 with the seat - which is self closing, once you start to let her go down. I liked the looks of this as it appears older, and I wanted the taller one for the maximum flushing. When you look at the inside guts on these - from the control rods to everything - man have I been getting screwed on the stuff I used before. Be sure to look at the performance features if you haven't - http://www.totousa.com/toto/highperformancetoilets.asp

Yet another reason I am a member here.

I spend lots of time on the commode, I want the best I can get. When I build my new house, i am getting a TOTO toilet.

Article

Irst address is site where the article was referenced, 2nd site is the article from the Post, sorry for the confusion.

article basically says how the high tech controls confuse, delay people at a delicate time

That's right

I guess I didn't understand the whole high tech thing with Japan and toilet controls, but $1200 for a high tech seat - now that's amazing. But obviously I didn't get that, nor ever would, even if I found Bill Gates money.
