Ok Steve,Why Is The Site So Slow?...

I thought maybe it was my rickety old tower,so I changed to my laptop and no change at all. When I am flipping pages it takes forever to load and posting is an effort only seen during dial up days. I have checked upload and download along with ping times at PC Pitstop and its the same as it always is. I do not think its on my end,any ideas as none of the other web forums I use are this slow... ... Andy

In addition to that router I found where the two database servers were having problems with the communications between the two. I took the site down for a little less than an hour to run a database repair on both servers and I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it continues to run well at least at the server end.

CW - those routers on the backbone are on auto notifications.

Well, hopefully all is better now. I ran a quick database repair earlier to try to get the site back up asap - which usually works. I received a couple errors an hour later and I had to take it back down to do a thorough repair on the databases. I'll be keeping a close eye on it.
