I have my 91 listed in the calssifieds, and want to get RID of it; I'm tired of fixing something every week, tired of parts falling off. This weekend, it was the battery and tail light lens. While the price I have it listed for isnt the bargain of the century, I dont think it is out of line, either. Figure I'll put the cash in a CD or savings till I get a little more to add to it (which requires keeping a job more than 3 mo at a time, and not getting mono right after starting one) and get a 150-180K SRW 4x4 or 4x2, or go for a 2nd Gen 12v in the same mile range.

Daniel

Hey Daniel, you trying to get me to shed a tear here? Man I hate to see someone frustrated with anything, I hope it all works out for you, I feel bad about sending the manifold though, maybe reconsider.

DANIEL----------- you didn't mean it when you said 2nd gen did you???? :--) Man you can't do that! I understand getting upset at your current ride, but that doesn't warrant going to a completely differnt truck series does it?? :{ Sheesh the next thing I be seeing here is bill gilbert and pastor are looking for over valvers

Say it ain't so Daniel!! Say it ain't so. Heck I will even start looking for a nice first gen from Iowa for ya!!

Good luck with your plans.

Michael

Take it easy on him guys... he's simple minded!

Just kidding, I know EXACTLY how you feel man! That's why I'm sittin' pretty in this 02! :D

He's a 6 footer I believe and he'll have fun climbing in and out of that eclipes or Corolla or geo metro:D. DP, guess I should have gave ya my spare Group 31 battery I had laying around here too... . Think about it, ya already know what ya got, what ya done to it, has a great turbo, HG, injectors, etc, can you replace that with a similar 300K miler that you won't know the entire history on, and possible replace all that and more to get back to where you were?

Me in an overvalver haha. .

Think real hard before you make any decisions... leave 'er alone for a few days... cool off... and then make your decision.

Making a rash decision out of anger may have you driving a truck that might just give you more trouble than this one!

Just trying to help...

I've cooled off a little.....

matches- the manifold can always go on Mom's 92- it has shrunk a good deal, too. I plan to put it on there when/if I get an ATS manifold, anyway.

CB- you know exactly where I am, you've BTDT, so to speak. I would probably end up with another 1st Gen, though- they are getting cheaper all the time.

Bill- What else you got up your sleeve? Dont have a dually bed somewhere, do ya? I also look at it from the standpoint it needs higher gears, new/ uncracked head, pump is so-so- pumps a lot of fuel, but doesnt seem quite right- new exhaust on the front half, etc, etc.

MMiller- if you find one at a good price, let me know. No shifters on the column, though. ;)

It's not that I mind doing this and that to the old bucket of bolts. It's more the fact I dont have the money right now, and not much more is coming in. Mom has a car I can drive. Though driving Mom's loose-steering rattle trap pickup yesterday made me appreciate just the engine noise of mine. Plus mine has a better radio. :D. The Celebrity has a seat outta da hood- leans back about 45* and hurts my lower back. Have to reach farther with my arms than with my feet.

Thanks for all the support and engouragement, guys. I'll still part with it if someone comes up with 40 Ben Franklins, though.

No problem Daniel, I'm usually hesitant with looking at autos anyways. Yeah I own one, but I knew at the purchase that I wanted it to be auto, and I was going to have to spend some money to make it right.

I'll see what I can do, I will not see any for a while, then I will stumble on to several at a time. Seems to be a lot of first gen auto s for sale now, since I am looking for a manual 2wd to part out. $4000 huh? Dad wants a power unit but I hate to cut up a truck that is running, yah know.

Michael

You should have NO problem selling your truck.

I've gotten a few calls on mine but it dosent look like the wife is going to let me part with it..... shopping for stereo's now.
