While chasing out other unrelated circuits, I came across this in my 2001 supplement.
Pin 24 of the ECM goes to pin 11 of connector C126. Circuit is listed as V32, 18, YL/RD. This translates to "Speed Control or Wiper or Washer circuit 32, 18 gage, Yellow/Red".
The circuit dead-ends in C126. I checked my 2000 manual and it is not even listed!
Everyone's been curious about the PTO takeoff for "idle up" control. What about this one??? #ad

Has anyone tried grounding, applying +5volt/+12volt, resistance to see effects? Looks like I have some experimenting to do with the Fluke meter and a varistor box!!!
Checked with DC... Those people are WORTHLESS #ad

Nobody will even attempt to find out for me.
Keep in mind that Cummins put a helluva lot of stuff into the ECM only to have DC not use it for their application. Sure would be nice to have some of the 'extras' that are in there.
If ANYBODY can enlighten me, please do. If not, I'll keep ya posted. I need a DART tester bad!!! My AutoTap just ain't cutting it for testing like this! #ad

My 2001 supplement shows pin 24 as blank or unused in the ECM interface definition. All other infomation agrees with yours. I'd sure like to have a schematic of the ECM.

Man these things sure get buried quickly!!! Anyone else with input??? Anybody do any experimentation that will save me a bit of time???

Just checked my Cummins manuals, and no listing for the function of Pin 24. May be worth looking into... Pin 22 is the same way, no function listed. Both dead-end in C126.
