Just returned fro a 3-week, 2000 mile RV trip from eastern Oregon to central Cal - total truck/5th wheel combined weight was 14,300 lbs - not terribly heavy by the standards of some RVers on this board, but right at the GVWR for my truck.
Both going and coming - a number of formerly steep grades both in Oregon on Hwy 395, as well as Nevada/California I-80 seem to have mysteriously disappeared!
Ran the truck a bit over 5 MPH above the speed limit, in OD, and CC engaged - and absolutely NO downshifting or attention the the throttle was needed at any time. EGT was at 1000 degrees max, boost on steepest grades ran about 25 PSI - the Cummins never broke a sweat!
I guess the new injectors and exhaust, along with the Comp stacked with the Smarty actually DO work! Crossing the Sierra was NEVER this easy before! :-laf :-laf
