Ol Blue

Guys just thought I'd let you in on the latest escapades of me and ol Blue. As you all know in the spring she cracked the head. Well ever since I put her back together with stock injectors and a new 7mm head she hasn't had the power that she used to. The other day I was going to a tractor pull so I plugged the line going to the wastegate on the 14cm turbo housing. She now makes @ 25psi boost on a hill with about 10,000lb. behind her. I did notice with the 25 psi as opposed to the 21 (factory BANKS setting) she does not tend to run the high EGT's as before. With the gate blowing open at 21psi you are just wasting fuel and getting hot if you hold it down while going up hill. She pulled really well and a friend of mine was towing slightly more than me behind a 99 PSD with a 70 hp superchip. He still can't believe (read, he is a little jealous) that Ol Blue shows the Ford up when he taunts her. Loade dor empty if he picks on her she shows him the tail lights in a hurry. She is still a good ol truck so papa is gonna buy her a new set of injectors. From what I hear I think I'll buy the Power wagon injectors. Next year she is gettin a new coat of ice blue metallic paint. She is looking forward to meeting all of you who are attending the Diesel rally sponsored by Scheid in Terrehaute, IN in september.

Big Don glad to hear ol Blue is doing well.
A new one every ten years and still keeping the older ones. Way to go! Maybe in 2002 na waiting for the medium duty power wagon to come out in 2004.
