<font color=blue>Nice to see the Edge EZ produces more torque then your "new" VA.

Once again nice graphs, but useless. Why point out the peaks of just the new VA? Why not list the peak stock, peak old VA, peak EZ??<font size=-2>

Brian, the graphs look good but I noticed you have a part number for a VA thats for the HO Cummins part number 1065902. Is this a different box than the one in the graph charts? The graphs show a 235 plug&play correct? Just curious as to what the HO box will do for the ETH. Regards Pete

Sorry Brian I probably wasn't very clear, Your graph is for the 235hp motor and I was curious as to how the VA #1065902 performed on the ETH cause mine is a ETH. Thanks Pete

<font color=blue>List the peaks for each device tested so that there can be a true comparsion, not just a guessestimate. Not just the peak on your new VA. And actually on the torque graph you list the peak of the EZ not the new VA. <font size=-2>

By the way I replied to your email... ... .

When I click on the "specs" for more detail, I noted the file names say "ho-stock" and "ho-pnp".

So, is the data really for the HO, or for the ETC? Looking forward to getting all the data, thanks for posting.

P. S. - What would it take to get some test-bench data on fuel consumption under load? All the "brake specific fuel consumption" charts from Cummins are based on "full load" testing, and don't tell us what we need to know about effects of VA, EZ, etc on mpg at Hp levels that are equivalent to typical cruising at 65 to 75 mph. Going by "customer reports" leaves something to be desired, because we all know that there is so much tank-to-tank variation due to factors we can't control very well out in the real world.

BRoth,
How much of the HP gain is though timing enhancements, and how much of it comes from adding fuel? There is not a large HP gain over stock but it does count for something to do it without increasing boost or EGTs.

Are the timing changes fixed or do they vary depending on RPM, boost, and throttle position? I was interested in the EZ but was scared off by reports of it possibly advancing timing too far under heavy load, and some were having trouble with the EZ on their ETHs.

Thanks for posting and filling us in on the new vanAaken.
