I have an older Van Aaken that connects to the pump itself and it has the boost fooler buit in too. It will be for sale real soon and cheeeeep.

Soon as the Con OFE goes in I'm installing a TST PowerMax.

I read of a member that had a 1999 with 250,000 miles on his hot rodded VP-44 and zero problems with it. He had always added 2 cycle oil @ 200:1 since new.

The reason is the low sulfer diesel. Bosch did a thing on how LSD was causing injection pump failures. When they lower the sulfer the lubricity gets lowered as well, the refineries are supposed to be adding a light weight lubricating oil but this seems to vary considerably.

2 cycle oil is cheap and all I want is lubricity, so no need for the high tech, high dollar techno-additives.

The reason for 2 cycle oil is that it is 99%+ ash free and DESIGNED to be an engine lubricant.

A few years ago quite a few were aware the original van Aaken that came out in late 1999 or early 2000 was stronger than the ones that came out later. I tried one on my HO and it ran noticeably stronger than the rebadged Bullydog box I had later with the boost fooler. If I still had a 24-valve I'd take an original vA even today.
