I'm looking into it. It's not just us though - the entire net has slowed to a crawl from here. It happened at EXACTLY midnight eastern time too

Some really wierd stuff is happening out there, that's for sure. We're getting hit with floods of traffic. Everything looks normal and then we'll get slammed by traffic from all over. It looks like our users too - but there will be like 20 requests from one machine hitting simultaneously and then sitting there using up those slots. There's definately something going on but I'm not sure yet what it is. Here's a copy of our traffic for the last 24 hours - you can see the dives starting at midnight:

Well, definately looks like a backbone problem and not anything I can do something about. It's a worldwide thing and not just here in North America either. Right now North America, South America, and Asia are all in a downward trend. That one major router in Iowa is still freaking out along with another in Texas. Just a few minutes ago there was one in Wisconson and another in Washington. Since I can't do anything about it I'm goin to bed! See ya'll in the mornin .
