First Look at My New Stacks

Just a thought

Hey Diesel freak,1/4 mile trap speed calculations are probably moore accurate than a dyno. I'll tell you that I've had my truck dynoed several times and noticed that on a dyno, the truck developed less boost than when I was running it on the strip. It would bearly broke 42 lbs of boost on the dyno and on the strip it would climb to 48lbs. Possibly caused by ram air when your moving that a dyno can,t duplicate. The other possibility is wheel slip on the dyno, that is eliminated at the track cause I launch in 4wd Just a thought Merv

My trap speed and weight equals 510hp

DD's dyno said 512hp

Sounds close to me, this was with smaller injectors and smaller turbo then current. I haven't ran the 1/4 since I swapped to current turbo, torque converter and injectors.

Looks fairly close. Gave it 6400# and 111mph and it said 683 (dyno'd 740 - but heck, that's on juice)

Gave it 6400# and 740hp, it says 11. 95@113 (ran 11. 96@111).

Not bad. :)

OK here is a wrench, My truck was running consistent 14. 7 to 14. 9, My trap speeds were 97. I actually felt the truck defuel before the traps. My truck weighs no less than 6800 pounds, Plus I'm running a tool box and a 100 ish pound rubber mat in the bed. If I plugged in 6800 it said I am running 486 HP, This I am not. If I plugged in 7000 which I think I am at it says 500 HP. I could only wish with my small injectors. My dyno results are below.

I think the standard trannies throw it off.

I know 4 wheel drive launches throw it off. Standards would too i would think since they run slower ET's for respective MPH.

I'll add my info too, FWIW.

When my truck was completely stock, I ran 17. 6's at 78 mph. I believe my truck weighs at least 6500 with me in it and some fuel, since shipping weight on the invoice was over 6300. That comes out to 240 hp with a stock truck, according to the link.

When I put on the edge comp (no pump wire) and at the time, no turnbuckle, I ran 16. 5 at 82 mph. That says about 285hp with just an ez. I doubt it.

What do you all think?

Chris

hmmm my highest dyno run to date..... 384 hp with a 1. 2 CF

maybe the ODOT Scale house is a little high.

what should a 2001 ETH DEE Quad Cab shorty 4x4 weigh with a full load of fuel and a 195# driver?

stopped by the ODOT scale house on the way home.

With driver and 1/4 tank of fuel... . 7150#

with a 91 MPH trap speed, I get 420. 5 HP

hmmmm

I plugged in my 7400lbs and 410hp and it came up with 15. 27 1/4 time. I raced a Toyota 4 times and beat him all 4 and he turns 15. 29. Be fun to finally get it on a track and see what happens.

If I plug in my dyno run of 485Hp,and my 7000 lb race weight it says I should be running 14. 18 at 96 mph. My Truck ran 13. 20@103. 5 consistent. The Hp calculator says it should have 607RWHP.

This calculator will give you the average RWHP made during a 1/4 mile run. There's no arguing with the fact that you can calculate how much HP is required to accelerate a given load to a given speed over a given distance. As long as they did their arithmetic correctly, there is no reason not to believe it.

The calc shows me at 508, the dyno says 459 (with much larger injectors than the ones I made the 508 passes with  ). I don't buy any of it, I do beleive I have at least 300hp though. :D

Stakesnoozeatthelightman, your over your HP limit, I would stop if I was you. :p

Tried this one out and prestage.com today after I got back from the track, it say's 6300lbs at 99. 46 MPH is 483HP with an ET of 13. 7... lol, my ET was 14. 5, street tires and open diff leaving at 3-4 LBS boost, Back half is 21MPH. Power is a little higher than I expected.
