ON my 03 with 5 speed tran. it would not go into gear.

we stopped at rest area and left truck running. When we got ready to go the truck would not go in to gear no madder how hard you pulled or push. Shut the truck off and it would go in any gear you wanted. Put it in gear started the truck and it has been fine ever since.It did this some time ago at a stop light. then a little later the clutch came apart.
Any one got an Idea what is going on. My dodge dealer did not have a clue.

If the hydraulics got hot, they could be to blame too. Check routing of the line.

Clutch disk was not releasing, it was probably stuck to the fly wheel. Since it came apart you have the source of the problem.

When i had that happene to me it was a bad pilot bearing. Did not happen all the time, just every now and again. Of course as long as you have to do all the work to get there might as well do it all
