Fellow TDR members,

I am back.

I had to sell my gen 3 truck after only owning it for 4000 miles

due to job insecurities, last March.

In the meantime I was driving a 97 Ford 460 gasser.

I just bought back my 2002 that I traded in one year ago

on the 2003 that I had to sell.

The guy that bought it, the day after I traded it in, decided

not to buy a 5er for retirement and do the motel and car thing

instead. I just happened to run into him on the street.

Oo.

Romance Novel

Eric,

I agree, you do love your truck very much, so go ahead. Write the novel and I will sell it for you. It would make front page of TDR for sure.

Like I always say, if she's good to you keep her around. Or get her back in this case! Congradulations.

Sorry about the job thingy, but DAMN, that's a sweet story. Not everybody gets a second chance at true love.

Hope you learned your lesson. ;)

Whatta story! ... . maybe you can trade the 2gen in on the 3gen when it comes available... . :D

BTW, Welcome back (but you never really left, did you?).

thanks guys

This is the first time I have checked back.

Thanks for the well wishing.

This was just a short version of the story.

The plot thickens.

The older guy I bought it back from:

-never changed the radio presets I had set

-kept up the cleanliness and service as good as would expect from myslef

-happenes to be the father of a guy I have worked with, at our sister company, for the past 16 years and I didn't even know the truck was this close to me.

-I actually chased the guy down on the street after recognizing my personal touches as he passed.

-Right time, right place.

-The temporary owner even said, "I am not looking to make any money on it, I would sell it for what I owe on it".

Of course my reply was, "sold, just tell me how much".

Chapter Two complete

Eric,

O. K. I've got the first two chapters now, please continue. You will need a few more chapters before publishing.

You should also hold the rights for a made for TV movie. I am sure we could find other readers rigs that would be willing to make guess appearances for filming. We could do a down town Chicago chase scene just like in the blues brothers for when you saw your truck passing bye and had to catch it in that little 4 cylinder you were driving. We could even add a huge 5th wheel trailer in tow to make it more realistic that you actually caught up with the Cummings.

Love Story with a Twist?

Sounds like Divine Intervention to me! Too good to be true! You'll never hit the lottery now, or did you?:--)
