One more dumb question

help please!!

what can it sound like wen u loose a injector :-{} I have what sounds

like a knock or ping. . and smoke light and dark

Can you give us any more details? First start of the day? When warmed up? Ambient temperature outside? Fuel additives used if any? Idling or going down the road and/or speed? Mine pings all the time under light throttle and I don't think I would still be on the road if I had lost an injector.

this happend all of a sudden on a road trip I tode it home

My suggestion would be to not drive it much if any at all, untill I got it checked out. My 04 did this same thing and #6 injector was bad. I was told that to put many miles on it with a bad injector would almost certainly ruin the piston & maybe the block.
