can a 47re out of a 4X4 be used in a 4X2 mines the T-case. i got a line on a 1996 4X4 auto trany mines the T-case but i need a Auto trany for a 4X2 does any one see a problem with puting my tail housing on the 4x4 and turning it into a 2wd trany?
The trans would need to be taken apart to change the output shaft from 4X4 to 4X2. They are different output shafts. Then you could just bolt on your tail housing after the swap.
95 is a 47rH, while the 96 would be a 47rE. The 95 has a mechanical governor, while the 96 has an electronic governor. More to the swap than just an output shaft.
