I would like to purchase the one piece and eliminate my carrier bearing as it is worn. Does anyone have a vin# i can use to purchase this thing? Anyone know the price of the shaft? Thank you

Dog House Diesel Performance. He has em in stock. $525 Shipped to your front door. I have an 07 Long bed dullie Quad Cab 4X4 and all I can say is it was an amazing difference how the truck launches now. NO more shutter at all and no drive line vibration whatsoever. I should have done it when I bought it new. It's almost 6 inches across and it is thick wall aluminum. Dog House runs a truck at the drag strip with 1,100hp. He has yet to twist the drive shaft out of it. That's good enough for me because my truck will never see that kind of power. I tow a heavy boat to and it seems fine. No issues. Oh and my truck has the G56 6 speed. I know there is an issue with length if you have the NV stick.

yes it does. the G56 tail shaft is shorter then the NV5600. If you want to put it in one with the NV5600 they recommend you cut the shaft down in length to prevent binding when the suspension bottoms out. Weird though that some of the NV5600 don't seem effected by it. If you have a G56 it's not an issue, just pull out the old dual shaft and put in the new one piece. I love mine.

Just installed the Doghouse one piece. It came in a Mopar box so I guess it is a factory part. Have only driven it about 50 miles, it is very smooth, no start off shudder and seems to have more power and quicker response at highway speeds.
I'll get a better feel on my way back from Ohio to Colorado this weekend.

Anybody else use this companies one piece drive shaft. How come Dodge used a two piece I have what sounds like a U joint going out on the front drive shaft gonna have to do something.

OK, an update. I installed the one piece from Doghouse about 2 week ago, quite satisfied. I now have over 2000 miles on it and really like how smooth it is. Don't worry about vin and part numbers, I just called and gave him the year, trans, cab and bed info, got the right one first time.

It sounds like he sells the Mopar 1 pc which is what is used on the new trucks. I'm guessing Dodge figured out the 1 pc eliminated vibration and shutter complaints.

I get mine in tomorrow (ordered from Rich at DogHouse). I can't wait to install it on Sat. and tow my camper. Last time I towed I had some bad vibration upon accelleration. Maintaining speed on the hwy was Ok... but from a stop it felt bad. I also noticed one of my U joints is starting to fling grease so its on its way out... . and there is a little play in the carrier bearing. I've just been waiting for the (legit) excuse to get the one piece!

I have a vibration on the highway and my carrier bearing is gone. I haven't ordered it yet since i've been dealing with other issues but it seems like everyone is happy with it so as soon as i get a chance i will be ordering mine.

Does anyone make a one piece for the 2001 extra cab with full size bed 3500 4x4.

Last week my carrier bearing started vibrating like a queer eating a hot dog.

Received the 1 peice today from Dog House. Test drive was great!

2006 Quad with G56.

I also installed my driveshaft on Saturday. I ordered the part from DogHouse Diesel as well... ... It is nice to know that OUTSTANDING customer service is alive and well in some organizations. :D Thanks Rich!

JF,

I haven't had the opportunity to tow with it yet. I may get to pulling the camper out this weekend. But i can tell you that it cleaned up some slop in the driveline. My shifts are much smoother... . it all just feels tighter. I am expecting it to remedy the vibrations I had under load... . we'll (hopefully) find out this weekend - and I'll keep you posted.

I had two u-joints that were slinging grease and my center carrier bearing had some play it it as well. Plus that driveshaft looked like it was from a 60 year old vehicle..... just a rusted hunk of metal.....
