They should make that rug rat get a job and donate his paycheck to pay back the insurance company for the damages to the vehicles. Instead they'll just sit him down and tell him in a nice soft voice please don't do that again.
Had something similar happen in front of my house a year ago, a couple of punks with warrants got pulled over for speeding and decided to flee. It was winter and our narrow two lane road was snow and ice covered. They must of been doing 60 when they went past the house and sideways the whole time. Just up the road is a family with a teenager with a learning disability, the snow was real deep so he was walking down the edge of the road. He can't hear very well and wasn't looking up to see those idiots coming and only saw them at the last second and jumped into the snow bank to get out of their way. They didn't give a rats *** whether they hit that poor kid or not. After it finally registered what I had just seen I called the sherriffs dept and reported it and they tacked another charge on to their record on top of fleeing and eluding when they finally caught up to them. I had to write a statement and ended up going to court to testify. Their punishment wasn't nearly severe enough for what could have happened if that boy didn't jump out of the way.
