Flames out the stacks ?

need allot of input please--air filters???

Hey I got an H2E in my basement waiting to get put in. How much can they handle does anyone here know? It's non-wastegated so is there anything I should watch for?
 
I was told the H2E was good to 50 psi. The highest I ever pushed mine to was 51 psi (no nitrous EVER) and it was damaged.



I had it repaired and now it sits on the shelf taking up space.



Not sure I'd recommend that turbo for anything except a pulling/competition truck.



Mine had the 17 cm housing. You need 2000-2200 rpm to make it work well. Mileage sucked keeping it revved all the time.



I tried for a long time to avoid twins because I thought they were too expensive. The money I wasted trying the 40, H2E (paid twice), and B1 adds up to well more than a good reliable set of twins.



Then I ended up with twins afterall because no single would live. Ah, the lessons learned along the bombing road. :)

Well gee willickers how much fuel is too much for a PDR-40? I was wanting DD3's but have entertained the thought of EDM's.



I don't over boost, but would hate to under/over fuel!!!
 
Under-fueling is VERY BAD!!



If you would pardon my ignorance,,, What are EDM's ? Apperantly they give lotsa fuel. I think I'll need a set :D

MCummings, EDM injectors use more than seven holes in the injectors. One of the theories behind this is you get better atomization with smaller holes. Hence more power, less smoke. These bad boys will be my next injectors. :D
 
We do, and I believe Piers may be marketing some as well, but I haven't asked him.

The ones we have are available in several levels above DD3's.

They are made for us by a well-established company in the midwest.

Not all EDM injectors are the same, some keep 7 holes but enlarge them, others go with more holes.

Don M has been doing a lot of research and building of injectors, I think a lot of us would be glad to see what he comes out with.

A word to the wise: One should always keep in mind the extensive amount of quality research that Diesel Dynamics has done regarding 24 valve injectors. They have VERY good reasons for offering the levels and types that they do.

Anything beyond that, you are at risk for serious engine damage.

Carbon deposits could be a large problem. and diesel fuel additive's are a must



I use powerservice, but I would recommmend stanadyne from what I have seen from other users.



Stanadyne looks like a winner

Alright guys... . I am thinkin about goin to twins, but I really do need to keep my truck reliable. I was planning on using an hx-40 and hx-55, but what do yall think the diffence in hp in top end would be between this 50/55 and my topend hp on twins?
