Only 2 wheels spin

I though when my truck was new both rear tires would spin together. or clunk when making sharp turns. i got stuck & only 1 front & 1 rear would turn. I tried to apply the brakes to lock both sides up didn`t help . a 4 wheeler pushed me off a was so ****** that only small 4 wheeler was able to move me.
