Ok, I have been out playing in the "Silver Bullet" and I can't get the beast to launch off the line at more than 1900 RPM and 15lbs of boost. I'm not running a huge amount of horsepower and down the track you can tell that I am NOT driving through the torque converter. Also, if I was driving through the converter than shouldn’t I be able to power-break this thing all the way to the rev limiter? I have been told that on the '01s the RPM's are limited to 2000 RPM while not moving, but can't get a straight answer on how to "fool" this sensor and get the thing building some more RPM and Boost off the line. Any suggestions?

Info on Truck

Here is some information on my truck..... '01 2500, 4X4, Auto, 4-inch exhaust, 50 HP injectors, 40psi wastegate, K&N II Intake, Haisley Machine Torque Enhancer, 100GPM fuel pump on frame and all 6 AN custom lines, BD PressureLoc

i know when my truck had the stock trans and no comp box it would not have enough power to get up past 2000 rpm

with the box and the DTT, it will light them up now

this may sound bad but,

you may just not have enough HP to get it up there

are you running a box?

With the box, it is pretty easy to blow them off on the street, but watch the RPM's, mine still won't go up past 2000 even while the truck is smoken the tires.

I had the same issue with my '01. Tried to power-brake it, it would defuel, and wouldn't even break the tires loose. The Race Anti-Defueler is the answer, got mine from Jeg's. Easy to hook up, interrupts the can-bus, and allows full fueling to the stock 2700 rpm defueling point. Now the truck power-brakes like it should, finally. The only drawback in using this box, (it comes with a toggle switch to turn it off), is that when you use it, you lose your tach, volts, temp and oil pressure gauges, and the check engine light will come on when you turn the box off. Nothing permanent, the light goes out after 3 driving cycles. I guess that's why it's for "race only".

I heard that this defueling problem was only an issue with certain trucks. Some did it, some didn't. I was one of the unlucky ones.
