Only in America... (Caterpillar lawsuit)

The Cat lawsuit sounds like another candidate for the "Stella Awards" (she is the lady who spilled the McCoffee). It's lawsuits like this and the one below that have cost us all.



Mr. Merv Grazinski of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mr. Grazinski purchased a brand new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On his first trip home, having driven onto the freeway, he set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the drivers seat to go into the back and make himself a cup of coffee.

Not surprisingly, the R. V. left the freeway, crashed and overturned.

Mr. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not advising him in the owner's manual that he couldn't actually do this.

The jury awarded him $1,750,000 plus a new motor home. The company actually changed their manuals on the basis of this suit, just in case there were any other complete morons buying their recreation vehicles.

I vote we remove; Air bags, ABS, Traction control, etc from cars. If you can't learn to drive. Or better yet (ladies) not panic! You deserve to do a face plant into the steering wheel. HECK with manditory seat belt laws. If people are to stupid to wear them..... NATURAL SELECTION! We keep making it easier and easier for the stupid people to survive, pretty soon we are going to be over-run with stupid people!

Thats just brilliant. What do you do about the jerk who runs into you? My airbag may have saved my life, or at least significant injury, when I T-boned a truck that pulled out in front of me one dark rainy morning. He thought he could beat me but his wheels spun on wet pavement just enough to put him right in front of me. You remove your airbag. Stay away from mine. And trust me, I know how to drive.

I hope people (I know it is only a slight flicker of light at the end of a long dark tunnel), realize just how stupid a suit like this is. It gets thrown out of court PDQ. Then the judges (lord help us if they are in Seattle or San Francisco) throw out all of the anti gun law suits. Were those idiots are trying to bankrupt the gun industry.

What's the absolute max speed of a Cat Dozer? somewhere in the nieghborhood of 7. 5 mph (in reverse) and a touch slower in forward. You mean to tell me she could'nt get out of the way in time???? Come on... Or will they tell the jury "she could'nt hear it coming" yeah right, I work around these things every day and I've never even heard let alone seen anyone get run over by one. This really chaps me up.
