why? 75w140 is an approved gear oil weight if lots of towing is going to happen... and being you are where it is nice and warm pretty much all the time, i'd leave it until the next change out time...

Glad to hear I don't have to drain it. It's raining cats and dogs outside and I have a two thousand mile trip with the horse trailer tommorow.
 
Your fine, especially in FLA. My dealer will only use 75W140. Says they had too many failures with 75W90. Like others said, be sure it's fully synthetic and no additives with LSD.

My Q-Cab DRW finally had a diff fluid change 70,000 miles ago when it hit 100K. The factory fluid still looked new. I mixed 75-90 syn. half and half with Lucas syn. gear oil and have had zero trouble with my diffs... . and thats hauling no less than 20K# on a daily basis.
