Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Truck Trend stinks! No Dodge in TOTY contest!?

M4 Sherman Diesel

These companies

import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 205,742,000 barrels

Chevron/Texaco... ... ... 144,332,000 barrels

Exxon /Mobil... ... ... ..... 130,082,000 barrels

Marathon/Speedway. . 117,740,000 barrels

Amoco... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 62,231,000 barrels

Citgo

Gas comes from South America, from a Dictator who hates Americans.

Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (Oil is now $90-$95 a barrel) Some of the Citgoʼs are being renamed to Petro Plus

Here are some large companies that DO NOT

import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco... ... ... ... ... .

0 barrels

Conoco... ... ... ... ... .

0 barrels

Sinclair... ... ... ... ... .

0 barrels

BP/Phillips... ... ... .

0 barrels

Hess... ... ... ... ... .....

0 barrels

ARC0. ... ... ... ... .....

0 barrels

Also: Pilot, Flying J, Love's, RaceTrac, Valero

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy

and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much

they are importing.

Good Info.

I spend about $4500. 00 every 30 days on fuel and I get it ALL from Hess. So I feel good that I don't buy any Middle Eastern oil. :-laf

Thanks for the good Info.

Cliff

I definitely know which stations I won't be filling up at anymore. Show you are a true American and stop putting money in the middle easterners pockets!!!

Seems all bigoted and prejudicial of you to not support eastern and South American oil - after all, they can be counted upon to return as much of those $$$ as possible - in the form of illegal aliens, bullets, and bombs when the opportunity arises...

I don't get it. BP/Phillips are seperate from Amoco??? I know BP bought Amoco a few years ago, not sure how Phillips fits into that mix. And, you do know that BP is British Petroleum.

Shame on me. I don't think I would be able to post what I think of the american people who support and feel sorry for these vermin!!!

Unfortunately, there are none of those listed companies in my area except ARCO and they don't sell diesel.

That sounds very simple and neat but knowing the source of the fuel that comes out of the pump nozzle you're holding is not as simple as reading the company name on the pump.

It's a little like opening a can of Del Monte corn and trying to determine whose farm actually grew the corn.

Gas/fuel stations frequently buy from independent regional distributors. Fuel trucks with company names listed above painted on the sides may show up and load at the independent distributors then sell it under their own names.

Some retailers of one name may purchase fuel from the distribution center belonging to another retailer.

Crude oil, diesel fuel, and gasoline are just commodoties so it is difficult to track th products from country of origin through refinery, distribution channels, and to the retailer.

Urban Legends Reference Pages: Saudi Gas Boycott

Been going around for years now.

Besides, it doesn't matter what the name on the station says, that company probably didn't produce the gasoline they sell. They only use a base gasoline product with a proprietary additive package added to it.

Besides, when I worked for Conoco bak in 97-2002, they bought most of their oil from Mexico and Venezuela.

Ach du liber!! I should have checked urban legends. Sorry for the
mis-leading. I did learn a few other things so the discussion was
worthwhile to me. Hopefully to others as well.

BP and Amoco teamed up several years ago, and Conoco and Phillips joined hands close to the same time.

But if you want a real bust in the head about politicians - -This move started during LBJ's time as President, crude oil was coming from Iran to to Mexico. Since Mexico didn't have a deep water port that could handle the tankers, the oil came into Brownsville, Texas where it was loaded into Mexican Trucks, and run across the border into Mexico. The driver swapped paperwork in Mexico and the oil came back into the US as Mexican crude. Little known detail, but several of us watched this during a TMTA check point day at the Brownsville Bridge Plaza. Ann Richards was the Govenor at the time and the Highway patrol was told not to mess with the Mexican trucks
