Anyone have an opinion on this one... . I pretty much make the same drive to work every day since I've had the truck, all of a sudden the temp guage is showing a lower temp than is usual, not a huge amout, but it is definately 20 or so degrees lower???. Weather isn't much different, same exact drive and driving habits???? Appears to drive fine, more curious than anything..... could it have anything to do with the fact I now have 6k miles on it and it's a bit more broken in???? Or perhaps the dealer screwed with it when I took it in for an oil change???

Could be thermostat stuck open slightly. Have the dealer go for a drive with you with the scan tool on it. Mine runs right at 200 degrees according to the scan tool, not the gauge, but the gauge has always been just about perfect. The cluster is receiving the temp signal and positions the gauge in the correct spot. They should be very accurate as the gauge is a stepper motor, and based on feedback the cluster should always know the needle position.
