Ok what do you guys think? I like them, but they are not on the truck I am looking at. I don't want to drill into the new truck to install either.

Here is the reasons i hate them;1. They catch bugs and are hard to clean. 2. A pain to wax around, easy to get the white stuff on the rubber gasket. 3. Have to change bulbs when they go out. 4. Good chance of a water leak. 5. They are just plain UGLY!!

I like them becasue ..... Dodge puts a 3500 under them :)

Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with them. I don't have fog lamps.

I like them also, but have had all 5 replaced under warranty due to moisture in them. OEM lights are quite cheap in quality.

I would not have them if it were an option to delete them... I don't like extra holes in my roof unless I put them there myself.

I love them on our Dodge Rams, but the funky ones GM puts on their 2500HD and 3500 suck! At least the ones over the cab do.

I'm referring to the single center combination light bar. The red ones at the tailgate look good. I think they're LEDs.

I had lights on my 2001. 5 and also on the '03 and really liked them on both trucks. Luckily, I've not experienced any leaks with either truck.

I voted like them. I installed mine myself. It was very easy and only took a long hour. No leaks yet and with the silicone I used they never will ;)

1. so does the whole front of the truck, just don't clean it! ;)

2. mask em real quick with a little painters tape if you really care that much. .

3. not very often! gotta do that with any lights.

4. if they leak, the dealer will fix it under warranty, or i can easily fix with silicone

5. they look SWEET! like a BIG RIG! especially when pulling a large enclosed car hauler with matching lights all around the perimeter at the top :D

Lites

I've noticed that just about everybody around here puts them on their pickups - especially half tons. That's just plain silly IMHO.

If you're hauling big loads and need the extra lites, fine. If the truck comes with them, fine. Do they look cool? Maybe for some. I won't be drilling holes in the top of my 2500 any time soon. And I do use it for hauling horsies around, farm chores, etc.

Not my cuppa tea, but then I guess that your truck can be an expression of yourself.

And there is definit safety issue , in which I am all for !!!!!!!!! and on top of that , a GENO'S back off module puts the icing on the cake. Partly do to the CLASSIC "Form and or Function" , I fall on the side of the fence for FUNCTION. Sorry , can't help it !
