Heres the deal, my boss man had a #6 injector stick open on his 05 and burnt up the piston. Just got the truck back and he's about to go on a 2500 mile trip up to Yellow Stone going up some pretty steep grades hauling a 18k Ceder Creek 5th wheel from New Mexico. Our question is, what do you guys think about putting the SMARTY back on it? He wants the extra pulling power and has the Power Flo intake horn from glaicer Diesel, Aero Turbine 4" turbo back exhaust and K&N drop in filter in the air box for mods... When would ya'll recommend putting the SMARTY back on? Like I said he wants the extra pulling power and fuel milage... Thanks:D ?BOB? what do you think?

Does he have gauges? I do not believe I would download a Smarty program on a new rebuild, my egt's get to high towing and using Smarty.

Just my opinion.

if the motor was built right you should be fine but always nice to be a little easy on her for the first 1000 miles or so and change the oil after the first 500 miles

I wouldn't download any more than the 90 HP with timing with him having a stock transmission anyway. He just wanted me to get on here and get some opinions from ya'll, so keep em coming, thanks... He knows he needs gauges.
