Looking for opinions on the reliability and accuracy of the Westach guages through Geno's. I have had Boost/EGT combo guage in my '95 for 4 yrs without a single problem. Was considering getting the High Output combo guage and the Westach fuel pressure guage for the 2002 I have on order. How has the Westach FP guage been holding up? Any problems or failures with the sending unit? Is 16 psi high enough, seems I hear guys saying they are getting 19psi at idle when a new OEM lift pump is replaced under warranty. How much would it cost to have Westach custom make a guage for 20 or so PSI??

I see there are 2 different size EGT probes (1/4 or 1/8 NPT). What is the differences and pros or cons of using one over the other. I think I'm going to place the probe in the exhaust manifold (pre-turbo) if that makes any difference.

1tuffram Westach gauges work great. I have the combo too and its been flawless

Geno will have a 0 -30 PSI fuel gauge within the next 2 weeks, I would wait for this one ;) its westach too.

$65. 00 for gauge and sender is very competitive

Have had Westach Boost/EGT combo and Fuel pressure gauges installed since last summer... No problems, except my fuel pressure gauge is telling me I need to talk to Dodge about replacing the fuel lift pump (9-10 at idle; 1-2 at WOT). The only difference between the 1/4" and the 1/8" probe is the size of the hole you have to drill. I have the 1/8" probe... Have fun... :D

Westachs

tuffram, don't know about long term reliability yet, mine are only 2 months old, but Westach does a very good track record with many more experienced than I. I love mine, with the green back-light they "compliment" the stock dash and they seem to be very responsive, EGT/boost combo, Fuel pressure and transmission temp. As for the 1/4 vs. 1/8 probe pre turbo, I would definitely recommend the 1/8. much smaller hole to drill & tap in that relatively narrow split manifold. You'll see what I mean:eek: Have fun, Jim G. P. S. It may be worth the wait for a 30 PSI FP gauge if you'll be doing any fuel delivery mods. 2 weeks:rolleyes: ? we'll see

Mine's been working great for over a year now. I haven't had the first problem with it.

Works Great, don't you think?
