Having sold my 34' Airstream triple axle, and having reached what I admit is antiquity, and having moved back to be near family in my dotage, I'll now have no need for my truck. After delivering the trailer to the buyer in Colorado next week, I will be listing it in the classifieds. I'd appreciate input from any of you who have a feel for older truck values.
Mine is a '96, Cummins powered, Laramie SLT 2500, 2WD, 5 speed, and has under 163,000 miles. It is a pretty sharp truck for its age. It was originally purchased in June, '96 at Pocatello, Idaho. In January, 2001, I bought it from from the widow of the original purchaser. Until a year-and-one-half ago the truck was always in southern Idaho which is desert country so there is zero rust. Since coming back to Nebraska it has not been driven on snow. From October, 2011 until June 30, 2013 it has gone less than 1000 miles, so you see why I'm going to sell it.
A “VanWorks, Ft. Collins, CO” conversion which seems to have been mostly decorative features (de-badged, special exterior accents, wood dash trim, etc. ).
KDP fixed
Anti-spin, 4:11 gear ratio differential
Rancho shocks
SuperDuty adjustable air spring suspension by Air/Ride (this is what us common folks call “air overload springs” - not really a replacement for the full suspension)
Infinity sound system
6 way power driver's seat
Wired for slide-in camper
7 pin trailer connection
Receiver hitch
DrawTite Activator II Digital trailer brake controller
