I'd like to check my idle speed (I suspect it's a little high) as well as later calibrate a tachometer that I plan to add and need to either find someone with an optical or laser tach or find an inexpensive one to buy. I've been looking on the web and the least expensive one I can find is $49, or $44 for 5 or more, most are $150 and up, WAY UP. Does anyone know a good source? I'd even use something from a hobby shop if it would work and not cost an arm and a leg. If the one I found is the best price, mabey a group purchase could be arranged. If one can be homemade easily for cheap I'd even consider that. Any ideas?

On a 93 you have a factory tach plug. If you get an Isspro tach they have a wiring harness to hook up to this factory plug and set the pins in the tach as it says in the directions. No need to calibrate just plug in and go. Just a thought if you are planning on getting a tach anyway may save you a few bucks?

I've sent a copy of this thread to the Products/Access no drivetrain etc Forum for extra exposure so check in there as well for ideas...
