I have been getting some orangish gold stains on the driveway. From the front of my truck. It seems to mostly happen after a heavy rain and when the truck is parked slightly nose down (driveway has a very very small slope). Any idea what this might be? I have tried to see where it is dripping from but haven't found a source. Are stains from Diesel or the oil from diesels orangish gold?

Thanks

John

Break fluid will turn that color on drive. So will auto transmission fluid. If it is a standard it could be the clutch resivior. Some times quick change oil places will over fill the break res. and clutch.

well i was gonna say rust runoff from a non painted steel part. then i saw the suggestion about battery acid. i am going with the battery acid stain also. look around the battery box trays for stains or corrosion. you might even have a cracked battery.

rust stains from unpainted steel parts are a second option.

my wife's caravan leaves rust stains on the ground from the rear leaf springs, after running in water.

If the fluid itself was the color you mentioned, I would say NV5600 lube. The factory fill in the 6-speed is almost the exact color you describe.
