This July I ordered a 2020 3500 Bighorn 8ft bed. It arrived October 20th but I haven’t taken it home yet. I wanted LED lights as factory halogens are terrible. Salesman double checked that Bighorn Level 2 came with LED headlights. Sadly he was wrong. I been waiting for them to install the new headlights. Not fun.

Local business does rockerguard coatings. Truck is Billet Silver Metallic, I had them do lower accent two tone in a dark grey, add 3m film, factory style fender flares and Excalibur running boards. They are also installing custom shields ahead of rear bumper to protect wiring and bumper from stone dents. (They start to rust after they are dented...) I ordered a small UWS toolbox for the truck as well. It’s not fun making payments on a truck you can’t drive.

Hopefully I can learn a bit about these new trucks. My old 03 is getting long in the tooth and my 1500 has a 970 lb total payload...that’s only my family and a bit of gear...a GVWR of 12,300 on my 2020 is higher than my 05 3500 DRW. I’m looking forward to towing for the first time with it. Hopefully before Christmas...

Beautiful truck! I really like the two-tone you added.

The salesman was close, Big Horn Level 2 includes LED tail lamps. The Premium Lighting Group is what's required for LED headlights. Hopefully they aren't charging you full price for the upgrade!

Please explain the custom shields ahead of the rear bumper. The rear bumper is one of the areas I struggle to keep from swiss cheesing from the winter hoo ha. My factory hardware at nearly 7 years is starting to look long in the tooth from the back side.

I didn’t want a fancy truck with a ton of wiring and sensors to fail. There must be proximity sensors in rear bumper with loose wiring everywhere. Steel shields are cutout to protect them and rear bumper from rock damage. Dented bumper from the inside results in rust. My 1500 has this problem.

AH how come you know more than most salesmen? Salesman went and double checked to see what premium lighting package would get me. $1095 for LED fogs and Taillights is what he said it would get me. I said that was fine I’ll go without. No warranty on lights as they are not a factory installed option... needless to say I won’t be using that salesman nor this dealership again. These trucks are not cheap, I ordered a truck to last me 10 years, please have trained staff....

It's pretty sad how little the salesmen know, but it's all in the brochure.

Build and Price says that it's $795 for LED Fogs and LED reflector headlamps.

And, when you opt for the LED headlight package, they make you order the premium group package to get it. So, LED headlights end up costing a huge amount extra.

Your truck looks good also! I do not believe however that the Bighorn trim level has a leather option. So the lady in leather can sit in any seat she wants?

AH being north of the 49th our lowly Canuck buck is ~$0.75 USD so we pay more. You don’t want to know the MRSP.

A Laramie was $95-100,000. No need for leather, sunroof or fancy stereo for me. I’d rather have shift lever for 4x4 as well.

There were no brochures to look at being 2020 in the USRC (United Socialist Republic of Canada)
