Ok I finally decided to order a new truck and not that I'm tired of my old truck but something more modern.
I ordered the same truck that I already have but 13 years new since I always stick with a good thing. My old 2004.5 Dodge 3500 laramie is the truck I had to add to to get what I just ordered built in such as the brake control the banks precooler and intake etc...
the new truck is going to cost $73,000 where as the old truck cost me around $50,000 in 2004.
I am selling the old truck for $15,000 and have offers but I will not release it till my new one shows up in 6 weeks

Have you checked truecar? Or if you are a veteran, use the USAA car buying service..
73k seems like an awful lot.

^^ Absolutely too much. Which dealer are you using?

So I ordered the truck the way I want it and that is the price on the sheet, you think it's too much?

I bought my truck in sig for 53,545 plus tax and licenses. Mega cabs do not cost 19K+ more.

I do not know what all one could add to a Laramie to get the MSRP that high. Is this a Laramie Limited? I have just about every thing expensive on my Laramie except the rear air and sun roof. Which would only add another 3K, or 4K if I had a few of the other little items. MSRP on my was 64,595.

NO one normally pays MSRP. A 73K MSRP truck should go our the door for less than 60K.

This is a California dealership in Lancaster and being in California it's hard to buy a truck without getting raped

When I bought my '14 Durango (I know it's not a Ram) I shopped around a lot, and they just weren't budging. I didn't pay full sticker, but I didn't get the deal I got on my '04. I shopped late August for a '14 when the 15's arrived.

I bought a loaded 2014 Laramie DRW 3500 in November 2013 that listed for $70K. The dealer I have bought from for 30 years sold it to me for $52K.

You are not getting a good deal!

I thought that maybe someone was fun'ing us, however OP join back in 2003. Like I said earlier, he should at least go to Costco vehicle purchase program and price the same vehicle, and take that back to this stealership. Costco price should be at least 10k less.

I tried to put all the options in Cars Direct and got this.

MSRP PRICING:$71,885
Sales Price:$67,042
Manufacturer Rebates:($1,500)
Net Cost:$65,542
Pricing as of 5/7/17 in zip code 93535

Check with Huntington Beach Dodge in Ca if your set on buying close to home. I took Snoking's advice and others and shopped out of state. I got exactly what I wanted and saved close to $12k. Easiest vehicle purchase ever for me.

Go see Kevin Draucker, the Fleet Sales Manager at Tustin Ram. He will sell it to you at or below invoice with no games or dealer BS. I've bought my last 3 cars/trucks from him. He's a good, honest, guy.
