I got my PACE system ordered today and was wondering if anyone else had it on a 2nd gen truck. All the pics on KORE's website are of 3rd's.

Planning on 315 75R16's on the factory wheels for now. I need fender flares before I get my aftermarket wheels. Not sure of what type of wheel I will go with. I like the teflon coated ones that are out now. Will be putting on my new front and rear replacement bumpers and the suspension then will post pics.

I have the KORE pace system on my truck and I think it looks really good. The install went according to the instructions except instead of removing all the steering linkages I just dropped the suspension as much as possible and then compressed the new springs. I thought this helped alot. I am much happier compressing springs then taking all my steering off. Also, I found that I have a much better ride without my sway bar attached. I don't know exactly why, but there is a huge difference. If I were you I would try it both ways and see which you like better. There are some pics in my readers rig gallery.

I also didn't remove the steering linkage. Only the sway bar links, brake hose brackets and track bar. For my 04 I was able to get both springs in without compressing them. the pass side was a little tougher but I got it in with a little footwork.

Hey , how about some info on the ride? Street? Dirt? If I was only concerned with looks I would go with D25's, I want performance. Thats why I'm looking at Kore. TIA, M

I thought the ride on the street was horrible at first, then after a quick call to customer service I took my sway bar off and the ride is awesome now. On the interstate I can't even tell when I hit bumps or potholes. Just driving around town and going slow (<30mph) the ride isn't any worse, but not alot better. I haven't taken it off the beaten path yet, so I can't give you any info there. The biggest improvement I saw was on the interstate.

I will have iton this weekend..... If I get it in time. I put on my new 230 lb bumper last night and that softened up the ride a bit.

I also use my truck off road. Not raceing or anything but i go on long desert rides and they are on pretty terrible roads. Lot's of washboard and it feels like the truck is gonna come apart if I go fast. Hopefully the KORE system will take care of this.

I will let you know how it goes.

Gents,

We've got a trick, anti-sway bar relocation bracket coming out this month that will allow you to keep your anti-sway bar connected and still get the great ride our systems offer. It's CNC machined from solid 6061 T6 aluminum, clear anodized and comes with stainless hardware. The idea is that it moves the anti-sway bar rotating point down to a neutral position so it can work more harmoniously with increased wheel travel. Additionally, we've found that some of the 2004 and 2005 Rams have pretty soft end links that can bend at full droop. For those who don't use limit straps but like to drive fast off road, this simple part helps keep your end links intact. It should appear on our web site in the next two weeks.

Cheers,

Kent Kroeker

Kent,

I have been driving around without a sway bar for about 2 weeks and it seems like the only time it would be benificial is in case of an emergency lane switch or something of the sorts. Is this correct? What else would it be used for?

I have the front half of the PACE system installed. I'm very happy with it so far. Makes the truck feel lighter... I know that sounds funny but that's my assessment.

I have the mini-packs and rear 5100s ordered. I can't wait to put them on. With the change in ride quality from the front, I'm hoping the mini-packs will soften the rear as well. The truck looks good now but I hope to get a little bit of the forward rake back too.

Good Luck!
