Well, I took the plunge, I decided to order myself that Banks dual monster exhaust. Wow, One Thousand Dollars. I hope it is going to be worth it. I was looking for some do's and don'ts, if anyone has some good pointers or even some negative feedback, I will still like to hear it. Thanks...

1K, Next time check with us,Drop the spare, and before you tighten everything up raise the spare back into position and than adjust everything, check the tail pipe Clarance from spare. watch the clamp on the T. O. P that connects on the Turbo. Make sure you have the right clamp for turbo T. O. P. its the one that connected the elbow to turbo (Not T. O. P pipe to elbow) Lube all rubber hangers. Don't forget to use the self-adhering gasket for the T. O. P pipe turbo joint. Thats about it, any more questions contact us.

I just put thhe monster single exhaust on last week, and love it. the only time it gets a little loud is when my foot accidently pushs the gas peadl too much. other than that I have seen a good throttle response and "+" in mpg. usually I have ran through a tank and it's just now at half so I really don't know the real mpg's. Good luck with it!

Banks Monster Duals

I was looking at this system just a couple of months ago for my 06. I had a Banks single on my 2002 truck and loved it. So, naturally I looked at Banks for the new truck as well. I almost bought the exhaust and at the last minute I decided to hold off. Two things about the Banks system bothered me. (1) It was nearly 1,000 dollars for a cat back exhaust like RTG stated and (2) it was labeled as a four inch exhaust, but when you look on the Banks Power website it states that the exhaust is four inches to the muffler but the tail pipes are 3 inches. Kinda strange IMHO. All other companies have four inch pipes throughout the system, a couple even do 5 inch duals. That was for the 04. 5 and up trucks. I didn't check the 03 and 04 system. Is that one turbo back or cat back? For nearly three hundred dollars less you could compare it with a Silverline 4 inch turboback exhaust. Let us know how the Banks system is once it's on your truck. After all of the exhaust choices I decided to go with straight pipe from geno's and spend the other 600 dollars in upgrades at this point on my truck. It's great for now but when the time comes I would like duals on my truck.

I have the single monster exhuast on my 05. It is 4" from turbo to muffler to tail pipe. It has a 5" tip at the end that comes with it. It sounds good and little drone in upper RPM. Cruising you hear nothing.

Contact us on pricing, Dual exhaust needs to be reduce to 3. 5 in the split, everything is close ,so to stay OUT of the marginal area it needs to be reduce, also this leave some room for the owners that are running larger than 265s to carry the same to size spare , up to 285... .

I had a crazy week and was unable to check your excellent responses. Thanks for the feedback. I was planning on bringing it to my local monroe muffler shop and have them throw it in for about $75. 00. I would attempt it myself, but I have never removed nor installed any exhaust systems before. I had planned on this wednesday to have it done. The system I bought and received is the CAT Back type. I hope I am not making another mistake by taking it to a regular muffler shop, unfortunately, in Long Island NY, There's no good truck shops anywhere close. .
