i have looked at alot of oil threads and oil wars. and for the price, quality and function you cant beat royal purple IMO. i like the idea of this stuff coating my turbo bearing versus dino oil. rotella is great stuff. this is the first syn i have ever used. we will see i got it shipped to my door for 4. 93 a quart. that equates to $59. 16+ $9. 50filter=$68. 66 per change. i will change the high flow filter every 3500 and add one quart of RP and i will use the oil for 7500 then dump.

i will be looking for a small improvement in fuel economy. i am getting good fuel readings ever since i figured out i can get another 4 gallons in my tank. it just takes 15 min.

for the guys who have used or are using or planning to use the purple stuff what do you think?

$4. 83 a quart to my door step. i priced mobil 1 it was $6. 11 a quart  Amsoil $? dont know and not to hurt anyones feeling but i dont care.

You could easily change your full flow filter at 7500 and go 15000 between changes with it. If you are only comfortable going 7500, don't bother changing filters. .

LOL, and the amsoil is about $4 per quart, just FYI ;)

at 15000 i would void my warranty dont want to do that. i will run 15K as soon as the warranty is gone. i picked 7500 b/c that is as long as cummins will let me run. i am right in saying that RP has met all of cummins req's and amsoil has not. I know amsoil is good oil but i want an oil that has all of the proper req's.
