Need a new shop

Bomb - where the term originated?

I have to make up my mind now.

For sure getting a quad cab, auto,LWB 3500

Dark blue top, silver bottum.

Torn between

4x4 srw or 4x2 DRW an 4x4 DRW

I'm sure i will never need the 4x4, whoever My bother and I like going to the desert camping, would need it if i take the truck. A SRW would be easier to park and get around in traffic. better resale value.

The DRW will tow anything i put behind it, 4x2 gets better MPG, fewer parts to fix, rides a little better. easier to get in an out of. Pain to park.

Wife likes the 4x4 SRW. they had a lifted(not much) 2500 quad at the the dealer yesterday, but just because she thinks it looks cool.

I'm not going to get any sleep tonite thinking about this...

Depending on how long you're going to keep the truck resale value is something to look at. Around my area a 4x4 will sell alot easier and a DRW usually is harder to sell. Like you said a 4x2 will get better mileage and a SRW will be easier parking. Tires are alot cheaper for a SRW, it's over $1000 for me to do 6 tires on my truck, In some areas it's more expensive to travel the toll roads with a DRW and in some commie states in the northeast whose name start with a C you can't travel on some roads with a DRW. A 4x2 has less things to break and be expensive in the front end. You know all this stuff now you just got to decide, good luck.

Let us know if they take an order on a 04 or 05. I have heard orders now are 05. Haven't seen pricing on 05 trucks yet on the web. Make sure your contract stipulates time frames and right to deposit back if quoted price changes.

Good luck on your new truck! I hope you have looked at Edmonds.com for pricing. If you are not paying below invoice, you can. I have a dealer in the bay area that will order at $300 under, you keep the rebates.

Just ordered the truck

Now wasn't that painful! Now for the hard part... waiting and waiting. Be sure and have some brochures at home to browse the specs while you are waiting. :)

And remember, you still have time to make last minute changes because it won't hit the assembly line for weeks ... . and weeks... and. . :p

My new truck is a SRW,but after having the dually,I think my next truck will be another dually, but it does cost more on toll roads and tires are more, but when you hook on to something it is real stable, but it is hard to decide for sure.
