Best gas/fuel cans out there?

I will be traveling up to Coos Bay this spring. We are in San Diego now, came here from Florida. Taking the inland route up 99 to Sacremento to visit friends and want to get over to the coast north of there. I am looking at CA 20 to go across then up the coast to Coos Bay. Any better way? Any advice. I figure any of you that travel that area can point me in the right direction. Thanks for any info.

CA 20 is the best way until you get to OR 42 at Roseburg, OR. They are about the same length. Of course, getting over to the coast makes for a nicer drive than staying on I5 all the way to Roseburg. PM me if you want to discuss the details or whatever about the routes.

CA 20 is the best way to 101 from 99. Enjoy the trip, the campgrounds along the coast are great and less that $25 this time of year. Some of the private ones have wi-fi but they are a bit more expense. We were up that way in October and one of the wi-fi places was Turtle Rock just before Gold Beach.

Have fun

Thanks for the replies. Just wanted to make sure I was considering a good route. We plan on stopping a lot on the way up the coast, even if we only make 50 miles a day. Heck, that's why I retired!!

Brookings Oregon has a great old town area, and Harris Beach CG - Bandon also has a great old town area, and a great seafood restaurant on the south jetty...
