Last night on THe Factor O'Reilly had a Black NYC councilman, I believe.



The were debateing about taking down our Founding Fathers pictures in public buildings.



The Councilman, said they were not his heros, they had slaves. He also said that they wee going to "CORRECT" history, whatever that means.



Bill said, amongst other things, that the American people would be glad to take up a fund and ship you back to Africa. !!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think Bill is the poster child for political correctness. But it sounds like that councilmen stepped over the line. Remember that the white american male is the only group that a person can degrade and get away with it. Which is fine with me I know who I am, and don't look to others to define me. I will be upset if this ever changes. You know you are on the top when they keep trying to bring you down

Slavery = Bad for Slaves

I totally agree that slavery is wrong. However, I saw a documentary that had an African tribe chief basically describing the slavery process, as he knew it. Two tribes would have a war. The winner usually killed EVERY member of the losing tribe. When the slave trade came around, they were able to sell them as slaves instead of killing all of them. I know it sounds stupid, but the guy ought to be sort of glad his ancestors were slaves, otherwise neither he, nor his family, would exist.

Their ancestors were slaves, so what? Why should eons later that is all that is thought of (the past). Compensation for the Italians because my Grandfather did not earn as much money as the business man?? Get on with the present and the future and learn from our past. Tunnel vision. Could it be, is it possible, have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe, black Americans ought to thank God every day that their ancestors (though mistreated) were brought to this country. Had that not been so, they would still be in grass huts chucking spears. It amazes me that Jesse Jackson can run all over the place trying to stick his nose where it does not belong while his kinfolk are being slaughtered by the hundreds of thousands by his kinfolk. If white people were killing black folks by the thousands there would be world outcry! But , the fact that black folks are wholesale killing black folks, no one says a word..... including black folks... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 'c'mon, give me a break.
