Help.. Need 4BT bellhousing info..

2000 Ram Injector pump problem

Nothing easy. Why up-size when more power than the truck can handle is available with the B? If you need/want a bigger engine, it's best to go with a bigger truck too.

I'm just curious I saw a Dodge the other day with the letters "Extreme Duty" and below that it had N14 on the tailgate. Thought he might have put a bigger Cummins in it

No way it has a N14 in it. That is a 14L engine. Probably weighs over 2500#, dry. A C-series (8. 3L) could probably be shoehorned in, with a lot of work. There was one stuffed into a F-250 a while back.

That's just somebody having fun with some spare emblems. I measured a C series a while back, I think it's like 5 or 6 inches longer than a B. It would take a lot of cutting and fabbing. Not that it can't be done, but why when you can make a ton of power for less money and work with the existing B.

If one could stuff an N14 or a Signature 600 into the front of a Dodge pickup, I would think that you would have to extend the nose like they do with a Limo. Geeze think of it, a nose that would look like Jimmey Derranty. :--) That would look different and what about them old ball joint for steering on the front axle.

A strange truck it would be. :-laf :-laf

Large schnozzolla and weak knee'd to boot. :-laf Would we be accused of using steroids

Oo. :D

I'm happy I was just curious. I love my Cummins and now that it is on B100 it runs better than it did on #2. Got bombs in the the plans just need the green to do it

I've wondered the same thing and with the replys thus far my next question would be ... ... has anyone increased the bore and stroke of a 5. 9 like the stroker 383 chebby or is this some big no no because of water jacket proximity or something else??????

they way i understand it cummins stroked the 5. 9 to 6. 7 but im sure someone will correct me if im wrong

also boreing would be hard to do since its a sleved engine you would be getting the walls a little thin and w/ all the pressure in there i see bad things happening

the B5. 9 uses parent bore tech, it has no sleeves, just like all the gassers. The advantage if the bigger engine is more reliability @ the same HP.
