"Other" diesel vehicles

Anyone know of some not so obvious diesel vehicles that have been made? I'm looking at something better on fuel, reasonably cheap. I just missed out on a Suzuki Samurai that had the vw diesel conversion done. I'd like a 4x4 that I can use year round and use the cummins for towing. Even the gas Samurai's are nice but a diesel will get ya an extra 10-15 mpg at least.

Toyota made a Camry diesel. I wish it had the all-trac. I would go to ebay. Type in "diesel" and see what vehicles pop up. I think a tdi powered awd subaru would be a hot commuter vehicle.

GM put 4. 3L V-6 diesls in some cars in the early/mid '80s. Pontiac 6000/Chevy Celebrity. Decent when they run but a REAL PITA to work on the engine. Doubt anyone could pay me enough to work on one again. Doing a head gasket job really sucks. Lots of cussing and bleeding.
