How many other truck drivers would like to punch out the Polar Bear on Ice Road Truckers. That guy is the biggest cowboy I have ever had the displeasure see tear up a truck. And that freak with the blue stripe skunk thing going on I sure hope that our Canadian truckers aren't all like them. The one that I could't punch but sure wish she would get lock jaw is the BIM BOW from NY all she could say is OMG/OMG If the next show is like that I done.

These "reality" shows like IRT, Coal, Ax men, American Loggers, etc. may have some basis in reality. Most of it is fluff added in to make them interesting TV fodder for the masses.

I like Ax Men and I used to like Sand Hogs. What I don't like is the manufactured drama, and the king of manufactured drama is IRT. But I still watch it.

I used to like Hugh until he weaseled his way out of responsibility for some freight damaged under his care a season or two ago. Still, I can't say I hate the guy. Honestly, Hugh reminds me of a lot of guys I've known over the years. They talk a good game, but as soon as their *** is on the line they're the biggest sniveling weasels you've ever seen. And everything bad that happens to them is someone else's fault, since they're incapable of wrongdoing.

The fool with the blue hair - I have no use for him.

That show was interesting the first season. Now it's just a staged mix of soap opera and all star wrestling pseudo-drama.

I'd tackle the Dalton, not much different than winter logging roads in Northern Maine, less weight to haul and unlike Hugh I do know how to put a set of triple chains on drive tires. :-laf

A very few times I had to put one single on a steer, triples on one set of drives and a single on a trailer tire so that you could steer and keep the trailer from sliding along the snowbank up the ditch.

Most times a set of triples on the drives were all you needed.

Couldn't believe the episode where the older guy walked off on him 'cause he took so long screwing with the tire chains. #@$%!

Mike. :)

Three railers

I have never tossed on a three railer set of chains if it's that bad I didnt need to go. Outside of all drives and front drivers side and passenger side rear axle outside . I ran Truck and trailer not straight truck.

Ive only seen this while flipping thru the channels, and then for only a minute or 2 (or less)

Isnt this something kinda like Big Brother ? Or Survivor ? Or one of the other shows that my sister watches ?

My father in law used to like to watch wrestle mania. He thinks it's real

My grandmother used to get a pack of humps bag of chips and 6 pack and rip the arms off my dad's easy chair watching wrestling and roller derby :-laf You could not tell her it wasnt real

Ha ha, yeh, I know what you mean.

Although I will admit I liked that guy that just died What was his name ? Randy something ? Never watched the wrestling, but I got a kick out of him,

Real Trucker: Henry Albert

Henry is one of the most intelligent, respectful, courteous and contientious people I have met, let alone the best "real" trucker I have met.

Check out his blog at: On the Road with Henry Albert

If you ever get a chance to meet or talk to Henry, you will not regret or forget the experience.

Ok back to the series,-- Now you have Dave Redman, on the sene, what do you think about him?? 25 yrs of over the road driving, I can drive anything, any where. No accidents in 2. 5 Million miles. I think he had one when he went to India--or maybe that doesn't count. Oops.

I'd left him too standing by the road side @ coldfoot. What a cry baby he turned out to be.

Hugh is a total idiot.

That Dave Redman is an interesting character. I mean, if he could learn to keep his mouth shut and just nod when given instruction, there'd have been no issue getting him on the road.

His attitude has kept him off the road. He's a legend in his own mind.

my woman watches a reality show about a Vietnamese nail salon where they try to out do each other. Every other show, they fight over customers and end up taking it out into the parking lot while the guys at the donut shop next door watch and add some color commentary. She says that's pretty close to the real thing.
