FOr those of you with the manual transmission!! Make sure your rig is out of gear before hopping out while it is running. THis morning I went out to start the truck and let warm up and I shifted out of first and I guess into second but I wasn't paying attention dumb me thought it was in nuetral and hopped out. When I did the truck took off and I immediately by hand pushed the clutch while walking next to the truck and it was headed for my barn. WEll I had to jump in and I panicked. I was trying to pull out of gear b/c I thought it was in first but I should of pushed out of second. The emergency brake was on the floor along with me holding the regualr brake adn the turbo was kicking. By the time I got her stopped, it had went right through the 16 foot garage door, into one ATV that went into the other ATV and cleared a big path stopping about 10 inches short of dad's motorcycle. I knew if I didn't get ti stopped, nothing would it would have went right through the back of the barn. Amazingly enough the truck wasn't damaged that much and neither was I. It needs a new bumper, grille, SS hood shield, and a little buffing on the roof and hood. I was darn lucky. So just remember to make sure your truck is not in gear when hopping out or don't start it while sleepy or under the influence. What a way to start the day.
