I said 'our' because my wife helped out on the project. :D

After moving last year I decided to rebuild my reloading bench. The old one was about 10 years old and had been moved four times so I felt it was time to upgrade.

I used the original 2" solid core door and put a piece of 3/4" waferboard (or whatever it's called) on top letting overhang on the front 1. 25". This was critical because the mounting holes on the Dillon 550B straddle the 2X6 underneath. I finished it with two coats of polyurethane that gave it a really cool look and mounted it to a base made from 4X4's and 1X4's.

The cabinet is a wardrobe that the previous owners left so I cut it down and mounted it to the top with 1"X1" angle.

Here are some pictures:

Looks Great!! I like the waferboard/polyurethane combo. Makes me really miss my bench. I haven't figured out yet where to put it in our fiver that we full-time in. Oh well, there are some drawbacks to the mobile lifestyle.

Good Job. What do you reload? We used to shoot tons of . 45 and . 308. The presses really pay for themselves quick when you shoot 1000 rounds every weekend!

Thank you for the compliment. I mainly use the Dillon's for pistol-9mm, 357, 40, 45ACP, 45Colt and a rifle caliber- . 223. They are capable of loading rifle but I use such a small amount of the rest that I find it unecessary to setup.

I have an RCBS single stage that I use for 30-06, 30-30, 6mm Rem, and I am just getting started in 308.

The MEC's are setup for 410 and 12 gauge.

Sweet setup!!!

I agree with you on the RL550B, too much of a pain to load bottleneck with a progressive due to lube requirements when resizing. I use mine primarily to load . 480 Ruger but will also load . 45 ACP etc.

I'm building a new house next year and am looking forward to having my reloading room back!!!
