Competition Out cruisig last night, got a nice kill

So here cruising University AVE (minneapolis) and I come up on an SRT-8 Magnum. Taunt him a little with a drive by and we conveniently catch the next light.

So blib the throttle and he does a lunge. Race ON!

Light turns yellow (other side), I idle up to 2500rpm 2nd gear, 4x4, the SRT-8 starts to built load on his converter and gets a little tire spin. The light goes green and a perfect 4x4 launch, grabbed 3rd with out a hang up and by the time I'm in 5th I see him in my rear view and let out around 60-ish.

This guy was a typical sore loser, I motioned to talk and acknowledge a good race but all I got was him weaving though traffic. I think his GF was in the car, something look female-ish. I guess his pride and his Hemi was hurt :-laf

i get that alot up in new england too. try lettin em win one , talk to him,then on the way out ... blow his freakin doors off!! youll love the dumbfounded look u get! (when the smoke clears)

i've had some good highway kills lately. done some (approx) 50-110 runs with the following cars because i know i cant launch the truck and shift down low with the DD and 6spd. a highway roll is a different story tho.

-89 mustang GT- runs 13. 66@104, i beat him by a truck length
-90 mustang GT-runs mid 12's, he got the jump on me, i was reeling him in quick but he wussed out and let off so i didnt beat him
-new GTO with 5. 7 (not 6. 0)- hung door to door from 45-100 in 5th gear, he shifted twice while i made 1 long pull thru 5th gear
-newer GTO with 5. 7 and automatic- tried some 3rd, 4th, 5th gear runs, he wasn't even close with the automatic, it was nice to be able to outrun him easily
-neon SRT-4 with mods- it had some kind of tuning, exhaust BOV and other stuff, not stock, but we ran side by side until i got to about 110, then he could walk away from me
