Jeep liberty fuel heater plug?..

I couldn't resist posting this picture.

Looking for some advise.

I'm thinking of traveling down the coast through Washington, Oregon, into northern California to the redwood areas. I'm concerned about if I will be bothered about the emissions issue since I've got everything deleted. I do have a small muffler to tone down some of the noise that could draw attention to me. Has anyone been trouble in these states as an out of state/country vehicle while on Holidays there?

Unless your blowing smoke all over, I would not be the least bit concerned. Have a great trip, enjoy the season!

Not in Washington or Oregon, But California? I go to Cal. with my 97 huffing and puffing and never had any trouble.

If when your in Calif. and you happen to see Jerry Brown most would be willing to pay for running his A** down no need to stop just back up and pull forward SEVERAL TIMES to make sure that the job is done. This is a picture of him to insure TARGET ASSURANCE. He has not a brain in his head and couldn't even please Linda Ronstadt another air head and green peace weenie with only a vacuum between her ears and is a former Tuscon AZ resident which explains the vacuum. The look on her face should explain it all. KIND OF LOOKS LIKE JERRY WEATHERD BETTER OF THE TWO :-laf

I haven't seen a roadside check since the diesel smog program started. California is out of money so no more checks

I'll watch for them and give them a blast with the train horns. I'm no fan of leaf lickers either, they are way out of touch. One volcano and we have more emissions than a century of our development. Like we are really changing the enviorment, look at the long term history, there was major changes thousands of years ago, but I guess the humans then may have been eating to much musical fruit!:--)

You won't have issues. Enjoy the northwest coast. We did in Sept. I think we saw maybe a couple dozen cops in 3K on that trip. Top off in Oregon before proceeding south in Ca. Diesel was $0. 15 gallon higher here.

Are you going to be camping or RV'ing when you make your trip? We use to live in CA (way to long) but have done our share of RV'ing in the whole state of CA if there are any questions that we may be able to help with like places to stay we would be happy to help out. We have always taken time to walk the campgrounds that we stayed in and make a list as to what spots that we could fit in and the better sites.

I got pulled over pulling a hill just in Cal. from Nevada. Excessive smoke, I was pulling hard, had RV behind me. Young kid CHP, He finally let me go saying "you will hear from Cal. about excessive pollution", never heard anything. I had Oklahoma tags then.

Like he said above, be careful about black smoke!! ;)

When the state still had money (quite a few years ago) if a citizen reported you for excessive smoke the state would send you a letter asking you to come in for a free inspection. It had no teeth. I always told everyone to round file their letters.
When I was running a fleet our drivers were bad about lugging up grades(smoking) and would get smoke tickets with trucks that were just fine. On commercial rigs a fix-it ticket carries a fine as well as the need for a sign off,to get the sign off we would have to do a drive by in front of the local CHP office -a flat stretch of road in town. All about the money

I can't get my truck to smoke even if I try. Even when I was running the edge Juice on race setting, I couldn't see smoke whe I aimed the mirror down to the tail pipes to see them better. With the smarty Jr. I only use the Tow setting and can't get any smoke. I don't even get any black residue on the stone flaps that are right behind the tail pipes hanging under the bumper in the direct flow of the exhaust. I've offen wondered why I don't get any smoke. So they wouldn't get me on visible smoke especially at sea level which would reduce smoke if I had any due to more oxygen and air pressure compared to the mountain areas that I normally travel in and don't get smoke.
