Nice! I do have one question though. I am new to Ram and have a question for those of you familiar with 2500 & 3500.

What is the difference between a 2500 CTD & 3500 SRW CTD?

Do they have different rear ends? What else would be different.

I never saw any 3500 SRW's on any lots when purchasing mine. Are they only special order?

I believe that the CTD stands for "Cummins Turbo Diesel ". I have a 3:43 reared and it runs great plenty of power, there was at two more 3500 SRW on the lot where I found mine!!

As to the difference's could be tow weight, just depends on what want to do with it??

This use to be easy to answer, the last few years it has become more complicated. There was no Ram 3500 until 2003 MY. There was a 2500 'camper pkg" that got a higher GVW and rear overloads. In 2003 that went away and it was replaced with the 3500 SRW. For the most part the axles/brakes where the same between the SRW and DRW. The only difference between the 2500 and the 3500 SRW where the rear overload springs. Then in 2012MY you could get a "max Tow" pkg in the dually that wasn't offered in the SRW. Then in 2013MY the DRW got a different front suspension and a slightly larger rear axle ring gear. 2014MY the 3500 SRW got the same front suspensions as the dually, but I don't think it gets the larger ring gear.

2013---2500 vs 3500 no difference between the two unless you have the HO 3500. That comes with a Aisin trans. You get more trq and hp. 3500 came with 18" tires for a higher GVW rating etc.

2014---2500 now has coil spring rear vs 3500 leaf rear. I think the 3500 has a option for air suspension, but not positive. I'm sure the gurus will chime in.

Dually a whole different animal. Much higher tow and gross wgt's..
